It's DJ Drama!...

While I was back in the UK the other week I got to start a piece that's been a long time coming...My mate Tony aka DJ Drama commissioned me to hook up a painting on a wall in his apartment and I got a chance(at last) to start it...

Apologies for the shite photos, definitely need to get a new camera but anyway here is a few progress shots and the wall as it is now...

Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish it soon and I can put it on the site!...

Check out Drama's business here he's twitter obsessed!...

Behind the counter...

I try and draw as much as possible(even when I'm supposed to be doing other work) and standing around in my current money maker I get a fair amount of time to do so. Up to now I've been throwing away a lot(seriously!) of drawings and paper with doodles on them and though that rather than chucking them thought maybe I should keep some of them.

Here's a few random drawings from the last few days(it builds up quickly)...I'm going to try and keep it up now and post up more of the random bits I do in between actual projects!...Anyway, check them out...

Publish You

Another post loosely linked with the Alternative Press Festival, 'Publish You' is a book I posted about a while back which I have had a piece of work featured in. The book is full of all sorts of people who are involved in the alternative press world and was launched at the start of the festival.

There is some rad artists in the book including Kate McMorrine who I met at the Collaborama and got some new nice little zines from and Jimi Gherkin who is one of the organisers...

Here's a few pages with mine on the left side of the last flick...

Collaborama

I recently participated in the Alternative Press Festival 'Collaborama'. I went down to The Miller near London Bridge and set up shop with some zines and posters.

The whole day was good fun and a collaborative zine was made featuring all the stall holders artwork done on the day, as well as anyone who happened by!..The day wasn't overly busy which ended up being really good as it gave everyone a chance to meet each other and I traded some zines with some rad people (thanks for that!...).

I'd like to say thanks to Jimi for organising the event and also thanks to everyone who came by to say hello or have a chat, I look forward to doing more of the same!...

After the zine sale there was an live illustrated story and music session by Resonance FM, which was really interesting...Props to all those who illustrated along, I'm glad I decided not too as it was too much pressure at that time of day!...
