Jardin Zoologique

Yesterday myself and the missis had a rare day off together with no chores to be done, so we decided a visit to the zoo was in order!...

I love drawing animals but always find the reference images online a bit dry and easily accessible to everyone so thought I'd try and get some decent images for some projects I've got in the pipeline...Here's my pick of the bunch...

Before the actual animals the entrance to the zoo is an amazing one, the zoo is right in the city next to Centraal Station and the architecture follows that of the buildings in that area...



Then onto the animals!...It was really cold yesterday but these fellas were loving it!...

Fooking strange looking babboons!...( I did see another babboon with a ball sack for a chin but didn't get a decent photo of him!...)

This baby elephant was hilarious, thought it was a monkey the amount it was climbing around, and falling!..


Just a reminder that we're in Belgium!...




The zoo literally runs alongside the station...

Pretty happy with this shot, although it looks angry as fook it was actually playing with the log it's on!...
