José Parlá at Elms Lester

Went down to check out José Parlá'a show at Elms Lester last week and was amazed at the depth and intensity of the pieces, they have layer upon layer of tags, calligraphy and abstracted lettering and as always you have to see them in the flesh to appreciate them properly...check out the flicks below or go have a look yourself!!...

JR

JR's second solo UK show started this week and as part of this alongside the pieces and the video installation; Minette Street leading into Soho through piss alley was pasted up with images taken on his teams travels through Rio and the favelas there...Had a hard week helping out the guys from gay Paris to paste up the enormous photos and here is the result...

Paul Insect...Poison

This was a highly anticipated show considering Paul Insects last show was bought out in its entirety by one person before it even came to the private view...

Anyway most people would be accustomed to seeing a certain person's baby heads with surreal imagery where a brain would be and although these were still plastered in the former porn emporium in Kings Cross the work was more varied with Playboy Bunny Skulls and a Skeleton Table pastiche...Plus a tagged sofa which on the grapevine was used in something called Anal Boom 2,whatever that is!...

Baby Sitting

The recently finished ongoing group show at Lazarides Charing Cross features artist represented by the gallery such as Antony Micallef, Conor Harrington, Space Invaders and some other amazing contemporary artists...

While watching the gallery thought i'd take some cheeky flicks and show them off...If you get a chance get down there and check it out( saying that it'll be a different show now but check it out nonetheless.....JR is king)...
